Located at 200 Lexington Avenue, in Manhattan, the New York Design Center is the country's oldest furniture and design building housing 33,000 square feet of extraordinary antiques and 20th century design from top designers.
The event was in anticipation of “Cecil Beaton: The New York Years,” a show that will be opening at the Museum of the City of New York, in October, 2011.

Renée was visited by a group of women art enthusiasts led by Hedy O'Beil who provides them with studio, gallery and museum tours. At this event Tricia Schultz is shown wearing Renee's "Spontaneous Rhythm."
Renée was invited to create a special piece for author Joanne Turney Bauers at her talk and booksigning forher book "The Art of Joyful Aging" at Bloomingdales, Washington, DC area. Joanne is shown on the right wearing "Brave Heart."
Renee also hand painted Joanne's shoes and apparel for the event.

Renée donated one of her Jewelry of ART pieces for The New York Commandery of Order of St. John Silent Auction. Proceeds from the sale went to benefit the hungry through The Center For Food Action in NJ and The Highbridge Community Life Center for the Elderly and Homeless in NY.

ART With A HEART Fundraising Event for City Harvest
Renee helped to organize this group exhibition and event in the studio of artist Nadiya Jinnah. She donated 40% of the sales from this event to City Harvest, an organization in New York, NY, that feeds 260,000 hungry each week.

Renée's painting "Field of Dreams" is featured in Nancy Reyner's book Acrylic Innovation: Styles + techniques featuring 64 visionary artists, published by North Light Books.
